Pointwise Version 18.2 R2 is now available for download and production use. While primarily a maintenance release, it does include several new, small features.

Perhaps the most significant of the new features is the ability to import geometry models generated in the Engineering Sketch Pad (ESP) conceptual design software. By importing models from ESP’s native file format (EGADS), meshing and CFD can be more closely integrated with the early stages of design where it can be most impactful.

In addition to user interface improvements and bug fixes, V18.2 R2 also includes an update to the native interface to the USM3D CFD solver.
