For job seekers, four job openings are included in this week’s CFD news. There’s an interesting insight into why the cloud is more suited to simulation now than it’s ever been. And borrowing a great idea from the SC conference, … Continue reading
This week’s news including applications ranging from soiling patterns on cars, to LES of wind turbines, to surfboards (or at least a tease thereof). There are a couple of articles that are food for thought: one about parallelization in particular … Continue reading
In this end-of-summer edition of This Week in CFD we see several outstanding examples of applied CFD including a heart valve done with STAR-CCM+, a tuna done with SC/Tetra, and certification by CFD using FUN3D. And then there’s this simulation … Continue reading
It’s time to start meshing for the 2nd AIAA Geometry and Mesh Generation Workshop and time to submit your abstract for the Pointwise User Group Meeting. Other news this week includes the PTC/ANSYS collaboration and much more. And how do … Continue reading
So much meshing this week including the IMR’s meshing contest, geometry modeling and preparation, high-order, and interoperability among other topics. And there are ship propellers all over the place, including the one from Helyx shown here. All this and other … Continue reading
Our survey on mesh generation and CAD interoperability collected 136 responses and provided some insight into file-based transfer of B-Rep/NURBS geometry models yet only scratched the surface of the issues involved.
We hope you will spend just a few minutes on our 9-question survey about geometry models and CFD mesh generation. It is open to everyone in the CFD community and we will share the results here after the survey closes.
